The objective of the meeting was to anticipate potential incidents, coordinate various municipal services, and establish response mechanisms for situations that may arise during the festival's events.
The meeting, chaired by mayor Aurora Carbonell, included participation from the Local Police, Mossos d'Esquadra, and the departments of Governance, Traditions and Festivals, Urban Services, and Social Rights, Citizenship and Equality, as well as the Festival Commission. The planned measures were reviewed, identifying areas of high attendance and risk, planning mobility restrictions, and ensuring access for emergency services.
Among the planned actions are requesting reinforcement of security forces, drone surveillance in entertainment areas, and expanding the restricted zone for removing glass from hospitality establishments.
The review also focused on events with higher concentrations of people, their routes, and schedules, to ensure a proportionate device with immediate response capacity.
