The Public Health Department of Sitges has launched a citizen participation process through an open survey for all residents. This initiative is part of the development of the town's first Mental Health Plan.
The main objective of the survey is to understand citizens' perceptions of emotional well-being firsthand. It also aims to gather opinions on aspects of the town that may affect this well-being, such as the environment, housing, work, care, as well as violence and discrimination.
The survey is available to all residents until October 4, 2026, via the Participa 311 space on the Municipal Portal of Participation. The data collected will be treated with complete anonymity and confidentiality.
“"Citizen involvement is essential to obtain the broadest range of perceptions and enrich the foundations for developing Sitges' first Mental Health Plan. The collaboration of Sitges residents is fundamental to achieving a broad sample that reflects the town's reality."
The results of this survey will provide valuable information for the study that the Public Health Department has been conducting on mental health in Sitges since July. The first phase of this research has included interviews with municipal professionals, agents from other administrations, entities, associations, and foundations related to people's well-being.
The initial findings from this study phase are expected to be available in the autumn, while the complete Mental Health Plan is anticipated to be finalized early next year.
