Sitges kicks off Carnival 2026 and announces Terramar Festival lineup

The coastal town celebrates the start of Carnival festivities and confirms major concerts for the upcoming summer season.

The town of Sitges has officially started its Carnival 2026 celebrations with the Arribo ceremony, amidst a week of significant cultural and municipal announcements.

The Arribo show at La Fragata marked the beginning of the festivities. Public transport will be affected, with local buses changing routes on Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday to accommodate the parades.
The Terramar Caixabank Festival 2026 has revealed its first headliners, including Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Sergio Dalma, and Joan Dausà. International tribute acts for Michael Jackson and Queen are also part of the program.
Regarding local heritage, the restoration of the Sant Bartomeu and Santa Tecla church bell tower will begin after Carnival. Meanwhile, the Town Council has approved the land transfer for a new Primary Healthcare Center (CAP).
