The Catalan railway network will see an increase in temporary speed limits starting next Monday, reaching a total of 219 affected sections across the territory.

According to Adif's weekly report, these restrictions will cover 192.8 kilometers of track. In the Garraf area, ongoing tunnel works have not added new speed limits, although fewer trains are running due to the Alternative Transport Plan for the R2 Sud line.
Barcelona remains the most affected province with 102 restricted sections, followed by Tarragona (71) and Girona (31). In Lleida, the number of affected points has slightly decreased to 15. Maintenance work on the RL4 line continues to limit speeds to 50 km/h.

"By April, all temporary speed limitations will have been eliminated, being withdrawn progressively."

The current data from Adif contrasts with previous government statements promising a nearly fully operational network by this date, as many safety restrictions remain in place due to infrastructure conditions.
