The event, centered at the Espai Far, combines sports, family, and participatory activities for all ages. It will also coincide with the Tour de France passing through the city on July 5th, with the prestigious cycling race's trophy on display.
The day will feature a family-friendly cycling tour open to everyone along the city's bike lanes. The 14-kilometer route is flat, offering a detailed exploration of Vilanova i la Geltrú's emblematic sites. Helmet use is mandatory, and bicycles should be in good condition as there will be no technical assistance during the ride. The morning program concludes with a popular rice meal and music starting at 2 PM.
In the afternoon, from 5 PM to 7 PM, the 'Fot-o-bici' challenge will take place. This original activity blends orientation, heritage exploration, and creativity, tasking participating teams with locating beacons across the city and capturing unique photographs.
Registration is available through the school associations (AFAs) of the city's educational centers and at various collaborating shops. 'Vilanova amb Bicicleta' aims to foster an active and healthy lifestyle, deepen the understanding of local heritage, and promote road safety.
