Plaça de la Vila in Vilanova i la Geltrú hosted the Day for Hope, an Oxfam Intermón initiative focused on equality, human rights, and responsible trade, which had to adapt to the rain.

Under the slogan 'They are not dreams, they are needs,' the annual event offered various activities during the morning of 2026. The program included games, workshops, and the sale of fair trade products, one of the fundamental pillars of this solidarity day.
In addition to fair trade proposals, the Day for Hope featured exhibitions, music and dance performances, family workshops, and the reading of a manifesto. All these activities aim to raise public awareness about the importance of equality and dignity.
Before the rain interrupted some of the planned activities, one of the highlights was the Trobada de Vent concert. This performance brought together 200 students from music schools in Garraf, Penedès, and Anoia who are learning to play wind instruments. The event was part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Escola i Conservatori Municipal de Música Mestres Montserrat.
