Vilanova i la Geltrú hosted the 13th edition of the Conte va! Festival, an event dedicated to children's literature that transformed reading into a playful and participatory experience for all attendees.

Over the weekend, especially on Saturday morning and midday, the town's streets were filled with diverse activities. Storytelling sessions were the main attraction, featuring proposals such as Ridiculitis i el remei genial, a story by writer Montserrat Balada premiered for Sant Jordi.
In addition to storytelling, the festival offered creative workshops, artistic makeup sessions, and theatrical performances. All proposals presented on the main stage in Plaça de les Neus included Catalan sign language interpretation, ensuring accessibility for all audiences.
The event included thematic spaces such as 'Mar de gresca', focused on celebration and fun, and 'El bosc dels secrets', designed for more relaxed reading and activities for the youngest children. The participation of local bookstores and the presence of authors and illustrators for book signings complemented the cultural offerings.
The Conte va! Festival is an initiative organized by the City Council, in collaboration with municipal Libraries. It is worth noting that the first ten editions were promoted by the Associació pel foment de la literatura infantil Judit Sendra Garcia, which continues to collaborate in its realization.
Activities were concentrated around Plaça de les Neus until Saturday midday. In the afternoon, the Teatre Principal hosted a paid theatrical performance. Simultaneously, an exhibition of illustrators linked to the festival, titled La màquina de fer imatges: la il·lustració com a espai entre l'art i la reproducció, can be visited at La Sala.
