The Vilanova i la Geltrú City Council is marking March 8th by focusing on real equality and reviewing the progress made in women's rights over the last five decades.

Local authorities in the Garraf capital have highlighted the impact of the Curavila municipal project. This childcare initiative has enrolled 495 children, successfully freeing up 8,556 hours of care work for local families, promoting a better work-life balance.
The administration is also currently revising the Local Equality Plan. This strategic move aims to reinforce gender-related actions and ensure that public policies continue to advance toward effective equality for all citizens.

"We are doing this with our sights set on achieving real equality and taking stock of the last fifty years."
