The Mayor of Vilanova i la Geltrú, Juan Luis Ruiz, has confirmed that the city council will closely monitor the alternative road transport plan during the upcoming works in the Garraf tunnels.

Regular meetings have been scheduled with the Territory department to track the progress of the R2 South railway works. The goal is to ensure that the bus alternatives effectively cover the needs of the thousands of daily users.

"The offer will probably not be enough, but I trust it will serve to minimize the impact on mobility during the works."
