Key upgrades include the installation of two fans in every classroom, a long-standing request to combat high temperatures. Additionally, a water drainage system has been renovated, various painting and maintenance tasks have been completed, and the perimeter fence of the sports court has been improved, now featuring a ping-pong table added at the students' request.
Educational support has also been strengthened, particularly for students with special educational needs. The role of the 'vetlladora' (educational assistant), previously limited to 25 hours per week, will now cover the entire school day and the dining service. This complements the existing educator and auxiliary staff, emphasizing inclusion, especially in secondary education.
Organizational changes include the appointment of a new head of studies for ESO, expanding the management team to five members. Meanwhile, the project for a new Institut Escola facility, with its executive plan finalized, anticipates construction to begin in 2027. Discussions are underway with the Generalitat to potentially expedite these timelines. This future center aims to foster social cohesion with a diversified curriculum, including a vocational training option designed to prevent school absenteeism.
The nursery school (llar d'infants) also sees enhancements, with a new classroom increasing its capacity, complete with patio access. Doors and cabinets have been repainted, and new curtains installed throughout. The next phase involves developing plans for an in-house kitchen to replace the current catering service. Furthermore, a 'vetlladora' has been added to the educational team to support diversity.
