The photographic project Mirades 2, created by the young Vilanova native, Joan Casanovas, can be visited from this week until February 27 at the Toc building in Vilanova i la Geltrú, which houses the Oficina Jove.
The exhibition primarily consists of close-up shots that focus on the expression and gaze of the photographed subjects. These images were captured during key local popular culture and artistic creation events, such as the Carnaval, the Festa Major, or performances by the Bordegassos de Vilanova.
Each photograph in the exhibition is associated with a piece of music that helps contextualize the image and convey the feeling it generated for the author at the moment of capture.
This unique connection between visual and auditory art is materialized through a QR code found on each piece. This code allows visitors to listen to the corresponding song and delve deeper into the sensory experience proposed by Casanovas.
