The La Floresta Neighborhood Council informed residents on December 10 about the completion of the new skatepark and the launch of three infrastructure projects derived from Participatory Budgets.

The most recently completed project is the renovation of the La Floresta skatepark, an initiative arising from the 2022-2023 Participatory Budgets. The works, finished at the end of November at a cost of €50,800, included the construction of a new pool (bowl) and the adaptation of the space for new skating elements.
During the same Neighborhood Council meeting, held on Wednesday, December 10, the start of two additional projects in December was announced. One is the improvement of lighting at Parc de les Dones and the UREF stairs, installing 8 lampposts and 6 beacons to create safer passage areas. The other is the installation of a gym at the municipal pavilion, managed by the Olympic FS club, both expected to last two months.
Regarding other actions, details were provided on the reform of the Cau premises, which is being executed in two phases to improve windows and sanitize walls. Furthermore, the public housing project on Verge de Montserrat avenue, which plans for 35 homes, now has a defined timeline: the executive project will be drafted in Q1 2026, the tender process in Q2 and Q3, and the start of construction in Q4 of the same year.
It is worth noting that La Floresta recorded high participation in the Participatory Budgets, with 479 votes, representing 10.5% of the eligible census. The most voted investment proposals were the beach bar at Can Llobet (€90,000) and pedestrian mobility improvements on Emeterio Escudero avenue (€35,000).
