RCD Espanyol has defined its pre-season schedule for the 2026-27 season, with UE Olot confirmed as the first opponent on July 18th.

With their place in La Liga secured, the blue-and-white club faces the new season with renewed optimism. The sporting management, led by the recent appointment of the sporting director general, aims to strengthen the squad to solidify their position in the top flight. The continuity of Manolo González as coach brings stability to the sporting project.
The summer preparation will include several key friendly matches for tactics and physical conditioning. The first encounter will take place on July 18th at 7:00 PM at the Estadi Municipal d'Olot, where Espanyol will face UE Olot.
UE Olot, a team competing in Segunda RFEF, finished last season in twelfth place in their group. This match will serve as an initial test for the 'periquito' squad, allowing them to accumulate playing time and establish game concepts before the official start of the competition.
