The municipality of Les Preses experienced a Gala edition marked by an excellent atmosphere, high participation in activities, and the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Esbart Marboleny. From October 9th to 13th, the town offered a combination of popular culture, music, sports, and gastronomy for all audiences.
The inaugural opening speech, led by the Esbart Marboleny to commemorate its half-century, kicked off the festivities. The proposal, focused on traditional dance, highlighted the entity's trajectory. During the popular dinner, the hereu Gerard Planellas and the pubilla Aina Viñas of the 2026 Gala were chosen.
Participation was a strong point of this edition. The Oktoberfest gathered nearly 500 people, the popular dinner over 200 diners, the Gimcana La Gran Empastifada more than a hundred participants, and the Catalan bowling championship had 115 attendees, demonstrating the positive reception of the events.
Among the novelties, the Festa del Pavo, aimed at youngsters born between 2011 and 2014, was very well received. Activities such as the sung vermouth with Porró, Mam i Pipa, the lace-makers' gathering, and the petanque championship filled the gardens and the traditional dance space.
Popular culture played a central role with the parades of the giant figures, the Granota and the Calabotins, accompanied by local musicians. Dances in the Plaça Major, sardanes, the ribbon dance, and traditional dances with Filomena kept the festive heritage alive. The Orquestra Internacional Maravella performed the main festival concert and the Gala concert.
The Les Preses Gala thus consolidates its ability to unite residents of all ages around culture, music, sports, and community, reaffirming itself as one of the most anticipated events on the local festive calendar.
