The race, now a fixture in the municipality's calendar, filled the streets and paths with women of all ages for a day of community and social commitment. Two routes were offered: a 5-kilometer course suitable for all mobilities and a 10-kilometer route through forest paths, with the option to run or walk as it is a non-competitive event.
Solidarity is a fundamental pillar of this initiative. All proceeds are fully donated to Oncolliga Girona, an organization that provides psychosocial support to people with cancer and their families. The race thus unites sport and social commitment.
The start took place at 10 AM in the parc de l’1 d’Octubre, next to Escola la Bòbila, amidst a festive atmosphere.
With nine editions, the Les Preses Women's Race has become more than just a sporting activity. It is a day that combines physical activity, solidarity, and collective participation, demonstrating the mobilizing power of women and the municipality's commitment to this initiative. This year's strong turnout, with over 1,400 registered participants, confirms the race's deep roots in the social life of Les Preses.
