The fatal accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near kilometer 134.8 of the C-25, heading towards Girona. For reasons currently under investigation by the Mossos d’Esquadra, the motorcyclist fell onto the roadway and subsequently collided with the safety barrier, losing his life due to the impact.

Following the incident, the Servei Català de Trànsit (Catalan Traffic Service) activated three patrols of the Mossos d’Esquadra, one unit of the Bombers de la Generalitat, and two units of the Sistema d’Emergències Mèdiques (SEM).

This victim marks the fourth person to lose their life on Catalan roads this year, according to provisional data from the Servei Català de Trànsit. Currently, no fatalities have been recorded on the roads within the province of Girona.
