Girona Futbol Club recently visited the Puig de les Basses Penitentiary Center in Figueres to participate in a sports activity with inmates, as part of a social action by the club's foundation.

This event highlighted the role of sport as a key instrument for inclusion, education, and social cohesion. The encounter took place in a climate of great cordiality and participation, with notable involvement from all attendees.

"What I ask for each of you is a new opportunity. That you can return to society, for example, with a job and with a more comfortable situation than you have lived throughout your life."

the team's coach
Representing the club, the first team's coach, the president, the sports director, the general director, as well as other staff members, attended. During the visit, the coach addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of second chances.
