The incident was reported at 2:54 PM. Three units from the Generalitat Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to carry out vehicle extraction, although two ultimately worked on it.
The driver of the car received attention at the scene from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and was subsequently transferred to Josep Trueta Hospital.
