Bàsquet Girona has officially secured the services of center Nikola Maric for the 2026-2027 season, following his impressive debut year in the Spanish ACB league.

The 2.06-meter Bosnian player joined the club last summer from KK Igokea. This season, under head coach Moncho Fernández, Maric has averaged 7.1 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, proving to be a vital asset for the team's rotation.

"He is an example of everything we want: a player who works very hard every day and always tries to improve."

Fernando San Emeterio · Sports Director of Bàsquet Girona
The renewal adds to a core group already under contract for next year, including Pep Busquets and Maxi Fjellerup. The club's management is now focusing on further squad depth as they look to build on this season's stability.
