The sixth edition of the Costa Brava Solidarity Gala, held at the Hotel Castell d'Empordà, has raised 61,235 euros for cancer research and patient support programs.

The gathering, which took place on Friday evening, was attended by nearly 200 people. The funds raised will be fully allocated to research projects and to strengthening the humanized care programs offered by the Associació Contra el Càncer a Girona for those affected and their families.
The evening combined gastronomy, live music, and various solidarity activities under the motto 'Tothom contra el càncer' (Everyone against cancer). The event was attended by representatives from various institutions, such as the Diputació de Girona, the Institut Català d'Oncologia, and the Universitat de Girona, among other health and social sector entities.
During the event, the importance of support throughout the illness process was highlighted. The organizing entity noted that, during 2025, it assisted over 1,200 people in the region thanks to a network of volunteers, members, and professionals specialized in psychological, nutritional, and physiotherapy support services.
