Palamós Local Police have arrested a man in his 30s for alleged assault against law enforcement officers following an incident at the regional hospital.

The events occurred on Wednesday morning when a patrol unit responded to the regional healthcare center due to the agitated behavior of an individual who, according to police sources, was verbally abusing and insulting medical staff. When officers attempted to intervene, the man reportedly reacted violently, grabbing one of the officers by the neck.
Following this assault, the patrol officers subdued and arrested the man, who faces charges of alleged assault against law enforcement officers. The arrest took place at the hospital, although the incident occurred shortly after the same individual was recorded cycling recklessly against traffic on Palamós' Catalunya Avenue.
In footage that has circulated among residents, the man can be seen riding the wrong way, occupying the roadway, and forcing several vehicles to brake sharply to avoid a collision. This dangerous cycling created hazardous situations for other drivers and road users.
