Girona Airport has announced the addition of two new routes to its schedule, connecting the terminal with London Gatwick and Edinburgh, operated by Jet2, thus consolidating its international offerings.

These new connections bolster the Girona airport's presence in the British market, one of the most significant for the infrastructure. The route to London Gatwick will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, while the connection to the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, will have a weekly frequency, on Sundays.
With the addition of the London Gatwick route, the airport now boasts a total of five direct connections to the British capital. Furthermore, the new line to Edinburgh marks the revival of a route that had been inactive for several years, having previously been operated by both Ryanair and Jet2.
These developments underscore the British airline's commitment to Girona Airport, from which it already offers flights to other United Kingdom destinations such as Luton and Stansted. Currently, the Vilobí d’Onyar infrastructure serves 48 destinations in 15 countries and continues to expand its international connectivity, particularly with key markets like the British, German, Belgian, Irish, and Polish.
