These adjustments, carried out after a trial period, aim to optimize traffic flow in the municipality and enhance safety for vehicles exiting the neighborhood onto the interurban road. Observations during peak hours have indicated significant queues on the Sant Boi road, extending to the Les Ovelletes roundabout.
To alleviate these traffic jams, two key changes will be implemented starting Friday, September 25th. Firstly, the green light phase for vehicles traveling on the BV-2002 will be extended to allow more vehicles to pass and reduce queues. Secondly, the traffic light for the left-turn lane from the BV-2002 towards Sant Roc will remain permanently amber. Drivers wishing to make this turn must respect the Stop sign painted on the road, stop, yield, and proceed only when it is safe to do so.
All drivers are urged to pay close attention to the new signage and regulation at this intersection and to respect the instructions to ensure the safety of all road users.
