“"We like these kinds of gatherings. We are excited to join the younger ones, to see that, even if the participants are not the same, the Montsalvatge Project continues its hard work at the school, and also to work for the first time with the musicians of the Girona Jazz Project, who are very skilled instrumentalists in adapting to all kinds of repertoires."

The Auditori de Girona will commemorate its twenty years of existence with a participatory concert called 'Ressò', taking place on May 24 and fusing diverse musical genres with the participation of 140 performers.
The celebration of the Auditori de Girona's twentieth anniversary will culminate with 'Ressò', a concert promising a unique musical experience. This event, scheduled for May 24, will bring together nearly 140 performers, both professionals and amateurs, at the Sala Montsalvatge. The aim is to reflect the diversity and community that the auditorium has fostered over two decades.
The concert's repertoire will be a surprising fusion, ranging from Händel's Messiah to rap, including habaneras and tracks by Cala Vento. Professional musicians such as the Empordà duo L'Arannà and Mazoni will share the stage with students from the Escola Santa Eugènia and the Conservatori Isaac Albéniz, as well as collectives like the Black Music Big Band and Girona Banda Band.
The musical direction of 'Ressò' will be led by Adrià Bauzó, with stage direction by Martí Torras Mayneris. The musicians of the Girona Jazz Project will act as the common thread, ensuring a "timbral richness" that embraces multiple styles and acknowledges musical tradition, while also encouraging innovation.
This concert will be the highlight of a celebratory weekend beginning on Friday, May 22, with a professional conference on meeting tourism. On the same day, tightrope walker Mariona Moya, known as La Córcoles, will perform an ascent of the building, accompanied by live music from Xavi Lloses. Friday evening will also feature the premiere of the live return of Desglaç, Miguel Poveda's project, with the participation of the Cor Geriona and the Cobla Ciutat de Girona.
On Saturday, May 23, the program will include the conference 'Hack the AI: let's create a critical society' by journalist Montserrat Rigall, a second ascent by La Córcoles, and a recital by soprano Lise Davidsen, who will perform works by Schubert accompanied on piano by James Baillieu. Admission to the 'Ressò' concert on Sunday, May 24, will be free, but advance booking is required via the auditorium's website.
