Goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen returned to the FC Barcelona training camp in Saudi Arabia without injury, potentially reactivating the interest of Girona FC in securing his loan.

The future of German goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen is the determining factor for the transfer movements at Girona FC. After leaving the Barça concentration in Saudi Arabia due to knee discomfort, the player confirmed yesterday that he was returning to train under Hansi Flick, as medical tests ruled out any serious injury.
This favorable medical status removes any impediment for the German to seek an exit that guarantees him playing time and the chance to compete for the starting spot in the World Cup, especially following Neuer's retirement. Girona remains highly attentive, hoping to negotiate a loan deal.
The main hurdle remains Ter Stegen's high salary. He is one of the five highest-paid players at Barça, earning 15 million euros annually. It is anticipated that Girona could cover between 1 and 2 million euros of the remaining six months of his contract, a percentage that FC Barcelona must still approve.
Meanwhile, Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković, who had been granted leave to resolve his contractual situation, has returned to training with Girona under Míchel. After nearly ten days, Livaković was unable to finalize his loan move to Dinamo de Zagreb, which required an agreement with Fenerbahçe.
