The subsidy, granted through the Office for Support to Cultural Initiatives, reinforces Temporada Alta's commitment to being a "national festival," as highlighted by the executive. This cultural event, organized by Bitò Produccions, boasts 35 years of history and has established itself as Catalunya's autumn festival.
For the 2026 edition, the festival will maintain its presence in Girona and Salt, while also planning a progressive territorial expansion to other municipalities in the Girona region, such as Banyoles, Figueres, Torroella de Montgrí, Sant Gregori, Bescanó, and Palafrugell.
The previous edition of Temporada Alta saw high attendance, with 52,993 spectators and 91% occupancy. Over two months, 144 performances of 91 artistic proposals were offered, including theatre, dance, circus, music, and installations. Of these, 28 were premieres, 16 were international, and 22 were co-productions.
