The initiative, with the participation of IDIBGI in the ITEMAS Platform, aims to highlight twelve innovation projects that transform healthcare needs into new solutions with a real impact on the health system. The exhibition will tour hospitals and health centers in the Girona region.
These projects are driven by the Girona Health Innovation Network (XISCG), an alliance established in 2023 that brings together health entities and biomedical research institutions in the Girona province. XISCG's objective is to foster collaboration and position the Girona Health Region as a benchmark in research and innovation.
The exhibition features initiatives in areas such as early diagnosis, rehabilitation, digital health, clinical nutrition, mental health, oncology, neurology, and cardiovascular diseases. Through informative panels, visitors will learn about new technologies, digital tools, medical devices, and therapeutic approaches.
The presented projects were developed within the GIR-INNOVA program, coordinated by IDIBGI as the territorial node of the ITEMAS Platform and supported by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. This program assists healthcare professionals in maturing their innovative ideas.
The initiatives are the result of the work of professionals and teams from various Girona institutions that are part of XISCG, including IDIBGI, the Fundació Salut Empordà (FSE), the Serveis de Salut Integrats Baix Empordà (SSIBE), the Corporació de Salut del Maresme i la Selva (CSMS), the Hospital Universitari Dr. Josep Trueta, and the Institut d'Assistència Sanitària (IAS).
The exhibition will commence on September 9 at the Hospital Universitari Dr. Josep Trueta and will travel through various health centers in the Girona region until December 16. The aim is to reinforce the commitment to innovation focused on patient needs and knowledge transfer.
