The Mossos d'Esquadra and Customs Surveillance agents have shut down a major criminal network in Girona that operated the largest counterfeit perfume factory in Europe.

The investigation, known as Operation Fragile, led to the discovery of three industrial warehouses in the la Selva region. Authorities seized 1,210,000 bottles from fifty different luxury brands, with an estimated market value of 94 million euros. The facility had the capacity to produce 16,000 units per day.

"We expected wholesale warehouses, and to our surprise, a large fake perfume factory was discovered for the first time."

The criminal group distributed these high-quality fakes to countries including France, Germany, and Italy. Seven individuals have been arrested, while the suspected ringleaders remain at large. The products were manufactured without health regulations, using large vats to mix aromatic elixirs.
