Journalist Eva Vàzquez and booksellers Carla and Laia Arce were named winners of the 15th Pere Rodeja Memorial Award in Girona this February for their literary advocacy.

Organized by the Guild of Booksellers of Catalonia, these awards commemorate the legacy of Pere Rodeja i Ponsatí. The prizes aim to encourage cultural activism and the promotion of Catalan literature through media and local businesses.
Eva Vàzquez was recognized for her extensive career in cultural journalism and her role as curator of the MOT Festival. Meanwhile, Carla and Laia Arce were honored for their work at the Mitja Mosca bookstore in Badalona, noted for its focus on poetry and non-fiction.
The award ceremony is scheduled for February 26th at 7:00 PM at the Sunset Jazz Club in Girona. The event is open to the general public.
