Granés Foundation has resolved its first Call for Projects 2026, awarding grants to nine initiatives aimed at improving the integration of people with intellectual disabilities or mental health disorders in Pla de l'Estany and Gironès.

The foundation, based in Banyoles, received a total of 26 proposals from non-profit organizations. Following an evaluation process, the Board of Trustees decided to support nine projects that will commence on September 1, 2026.
The managing director of Granés Foundation, Laura Masferrer, highlighted the strong response to the call, which confirms the commitment of the associative fabric to inclusion and social transformation. Masferrer expressed satisfaction with the diversity of fields covered by the proposals received, such as social, cultural, and sports, emphasizing that "inclusion is only possible if it is present in all areas of community life".
In line with the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the foundation aims to create opportunities for effective participation, particularly for young people with intellectual disabilities or mental health disorders. This edition reaffirms the commitment to consolidate this support and promote projects with territorial impact to build a more inclusive community.
The nine selected projects address areas such as the co-creation of contexts for neurodivergent students in high schools, the promotion of stigma-free mental health in the school environment, inclusive training for young people to manage their health, accessible scenic creation and performance, inclusive art, co-production for the community inclusion of young people with intellectual disabilities, the participation of athletes with intellectual disabilities in official leagues, the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in local entities, and inclusive paddle tennis.
The 2026 Call for Projects was open to non-profit organizations operating in Pla de l'Estany and/or Gironès. The maximum grants were €10,000 per project, extendable to €20,000 for biennial projects, with a minimum co-financing of 20%.
