Gemma Geis confirmed as Junts candidate for Girona Mayor in 2027

The political party Junts per Catalunya has officially named Gemma Geis as its candidate for the Girona Mayoralty in the upcoming 2027 municipal elections.

During an event held on Tuesday evening in Girona, the party ratified Gemma Geis after she emerged as the sole candidate in the internal selection process. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including General Secretary Jordi Turull.
Geis, who currently serves as Vice-Mayor, emphasized her commitment to a city model focused on innovation, security, and the promotion of the Catalan language. She stated that the upcoming elections will be a turning point for the city's future.
