The city of Girona was the stage this past weekend for two significant athletics competitions, the Catalan U18 and U23 Championships, held at the Complex Palau Sacosta.

The events brought together young talents from Catalan athletics and witnessed several outstanding performances. In the U18 category, the 5,000 meters race walk saw victory for Bru Flores López-Pasca, representing Lo Esport Menorca, with a time of 22:23:65. The podium was completed by Biel Alcalà and Nahuel Urcola.
Several Catalan athletics records were broken over the weekend. Pol Elvira set a new Championship record in the U23 100 meters with 10.55 in the semifinals, although he secured the gold medal in the final without improving his time. Also notable was Eros Alegre, from UA Montsià, who achieved a new record in the U18 200 meters with 21.73.
In the women's events, Noa Antón secured a double gold in the 100 and 200 meters, breaking the Catalan record in the latter. Meanwhile, Marta López also collected two gold medals, winning both the 100 and 200 meters races.
