Girona Airport passenger numbers rise by 5.6% in February

The terminal handled over 41,000 travelers last month, driven by strong performance from Ryanair and European routes.

Girona-Costa Brava Airport welcomed 41,011 passengers in February, marking a 5.6% increase compared to the same month in 2025, according to official Aena data.

The facility located in Vilobí d'Onyar managed 1,361 flights during the month, a significant 14.4% rise in operations. Despite the positive monthly trend, the total figure for the first two months of 2026 stands at 76.473 passengers, slightly down by 1.3% year-on-year.
Ryanair continues to lead the airport's activity, carrying 39,920 passengers. Popular destinations included Brussels Charleroi, which saw a 19.7% surge in users, and Pisa. Conversely, routes to London-Stansted and Weeze experienced a decline in traffic during this winter period.
