The province of Girona has reached a new historic high in July with 412,707 Social Security affiliations, 2.9% more than the previous year.

Data from the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security, and Migration confirms that the province of Girona has registered a historic record in the number of Social Security affiliations during July. A total of 412,707 affiliations have been recorded, representing a 2.9% increase compared to last year's figures.
Regarding unemployment, the province has 26,189 people out of work. This figure represents a 4.23% reduction compared to the same month in 2025, placing Girona at the forefront of unemployment decrease among the four Catalan provinces.
However, the number of unemployed individuals has seen a slight increase compared to June, with an additional 477 people out of work, translating to a 1.86% rise.
