The city of Girona will pay tribute on March 6 to the renowned Latin professor and scholar Dolors Condom, marking the centenary of her birth and ten years since her passing.

Born in Palamós on March 4, 1926, Dolors Condom spent most of her intellectual and teaching career in the Girona region. A graduate in Philosophy and Letters, she served as a professor at the Vicens Vives Institute until her retirement in 1991.
Throughout her life, Condom received several honors, including the Francesc Macià Medal for work from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Athenea distinction from the Girona City Council for her academic and civic dedication.
The main commemorative event will take place at the Casa de Cultura de Girona, featuring a biographical exhibition that will remain open to the public for one month.
