The city of Girona has become the main stage for the new Tomb Raider series, produced by Amazon Prime Video, with filming taking place in iconic locations such as the Plaça del Vi.

The filming has led to access restrictions in several parts of the Barri Vell, where decorative elements and banners have been installed for the production. In addition to the Plaça del Vi, the operation extends to Carrer de Santa Clara, where a large crane has been set up to capture footage from the rooftops, and locations like the Girona Cathedral have been used as backdrops.
The production, featuring an international cast, maintains strict discretion regarding plot details. Despite the deployment of crew, trucks, and vans, the impact on pedestrian mobility has been minimal, according to local residents.

"We are coming back from seeing the Catifes de Corpus, I remembered that this filming was set up and I was curious."

Residents have welcomed the film crew with a mix of curiosity and acceptance. While some locals note that activity in the city center has been quieter than usual for a Sunday, others appreciate the city positioning itself as a hub for international productions.
