Homeless man assaulted in Girona remains in stable but serious condition

A 26-year-old man faces charges of attempted murder and assaulting police officers following the Sunday attack.

The homeless individual who was brutally beaten last Sunday on Passeig d'Olot in Girona is currently in stable but serious condition at the Josep Trueta Hospital.

The incident took place around 8:00 AM in the Santa Eugenia district. The assailant reportedly attacked the victim and attempted to flee the scene before being intercepted by the Mossos d'Esquadra police force near Bastiments street.
The suspect, a 26-year-old male, also assaulted the officers during his arrest. He is expected to appear before a Girona judge on Tuesday to face charges of attempted murder and assaulting law enforcement officers.
