The ICS Girona has confirmed an expansion of its medical training programs for 2026, offering a total of 103 positions for new residents in Girona.

The Josep Trueta University Hospital will host 62 of these positions, marking an increase of seven spots compared to 2025. The allocation includes 51 medical residencies (MIR), alongside specialized nursing, pharmacy, and biology roles.
New specialties for this cycle include emergency medicine and hospital radiophysics. The emergency program will involve training at Trueta Hospital, Santa Caterina Hospital, and the Medical Emergency System (SEM).
