Girona FC secured a dramatic 1-1 draw against Levante at the Ciutat de València stadium this Saturday, thanks to a late goal by Joel Roca in stoppage time.

Míchel Sánchez's side struggled throughout the match and fell behind in the 51st minute when Carlos Espí headed home for the hosts. Despite Levante being reduced to ten men following Olasagasti's red card in the 59th minute, Girona found it difficult to break down the local defense.
The breakthrough finally came in the 94th minute. Joel Roca fired a shot from the edge of the area that took a deflection, beating goalkeeper Ryan to make it 1-1. Referee Cuadra Fernández allowed the goal to stand after VAR confirmed there was no offside interference from Vanat.
This result keeps Girona six points clear of the relegation zone. The team felt the absence of Bryan Gil, who suffered a knee injury during training, while Ounahi's second-half appearance failed to provide the expected creative spark.
