This recently presented initiative primarily aims to strengthen ties between local producers and the restaurant sector, ensuring that products bearing the Girona Excel·lent distinction are permanently incorporated into the culinary offerings of participating establishments.
The collaboration will not be limited to specific campaigns but seeks stable integration that enhances the quality of native products and boosts the economy of the Girona regions. According to the promoters, this strategy will generate shared synergies and opportunities, fostering trust and building a more robust territorial network.

The Girona Excel·lent seal, which for the 2025-2026 biennium includes 137 products from 83 companies, covers 17 different categories, ranging from mineral waters and rice to cured meats, olive oils, and wines. These products are selected through blind tastings to guarantee their quality.

Currently, ten restaurants from La Cuina del Vent have already joined the initiative, displaying the Girona Excel·lent distinction. The remaining establishments in the collective are expected to join this collaboration with the Girona Provincial Council soon.
