Girona Airport concluded the month of April with 173,931 passengers, marking a 15.3% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to Aena data.

This reduction in passenger traffic contrasts with an increase in the number of operations. Over the past month, the Girona infrastructure managed a total of 7,216 operations, representing an 11.4% growth compared to April 2025.
Commercial flights also showed an upward trend. Specifically, in April 2026, 2,726 flights were operated by commercial companies, a 6.6% increase from the same month last year. For the first four months of the year, the airport has accumulated 314,000 passengers.
Additionally, throughout April, the airport handled 5.5 tons of cargo, thus complementing its primary activity of passenger and air operations.
