The presidents of the four Catalan provincial councils have met at the headquarters of the Barcelona Provincial Council to strengthen institutional cooperation and address shared interests.

The headquarters of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Can Serra, hosted this Thursday a working day for the presidents of the four Catalan provincial councils. The meeting was attended by the president of the Girona Provincial Council, Miquel Noguer; the president of the Barcelona Provincial Council, Lluïsa Moret; the president of Tarragona, Noemí Llauradó; and the president of Lleida, Joan Talarn.
This meeting is part of the institutional cooperation framework between the provincial councils, which allows for sharing experiences and exploring collaborations to meet the needs of municipalities. Also present were the Secretary General of the Department of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Juli Fernández, and the Secretary General of the Department of Education, Marta Clari.
It was agreed to continue working together to finalize aspects of the Climate Plan in schools, participate in campaigns to eradicate violence in sports promoted by the Catalan Football Federation, and explore the possibility of developing a shared Urban and Rural Agenda for the four corporations.
