The Meteorological Service of Catalonia has issued danger warnings for intense showers, accompanied by storms and violent phenomena, particularly affecting Gironès and Central Catalonia.

Following Saturday's storms, Sunday has seen the reissuance of warnings for heavy rainfall. Civil Protection of the Generalitat has activated the special emergency plan for floods in Catalonia (Inuncat) due to the forecast of intense precipitation.
The storms are concentrated mainly in Gironès and Pla de l'Estany, where strong winds and hail have been recorded, such as in Besalú. Rain has also been reported in Central Catalonia, specifically in Anoia and Bages, as well as in the Pyrenees.
Seven regions are at a high danger level (3 out of 6): Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, Gironès, Pla de l'Estany, Garrotxa, Osona, and Selva. Rainfall is expected to reach up to 20 milliliters per square meter in half an hour.
Furthermore, heavy rains are anticipated in the eastern Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, with storms reaching as far as Vallès. The meteorological alert will be in effect from midday until eight in the evening.

"Avoid parking in streams or flood-prone areas, do not cross flooded zones, and reduce mobility are among the recommendations."
