Artist Manu Guix has recently released his new EP, titled Galàxies, a collection of six pop tracks with soul touches that uses outer space as a metaphor for human relationships, with an imminent presentation in Girona.

This album explores various facets of love, from intense desire, represented in the single Astres, to the deep connection with those who remain by our side despite distance, like “orbiting satellites.”
According to Guix himself, the creation of this album arose from a personal need to compose for himself, finding in the imagery of the universe the perfect common thread for his compositions. Among the most emotional pieces is Més enllà dels estels, a song dedicated to his father, who passed away 25 years ago, thus maintaining a tradition of remembering him in each new album. The EP is completed with other astronomically inspired titles such as Objectiu, la Lluna and A anys llum.

"The album was born from a vital need to compose for himself, finding in the imagery of the universe the ideal common thread."

The presentation tour for Galàxies will begin this Saturday, April 18, at the Strenes Festival in Girona, with a double performance. Subsequently, the artist will stop at Sala Apolo in Barcelona on October 24, as part of the Empremtes Festival. The concerts will be structured into two acts, combining a review of his career with the full performance of the new songs. Guix has also announced that this EP is the first volume of a larger project that will continue next year with the release of Galàxies-2.
