Girona coach Míchel Sánchez is optimistic about Echeverri's arrival and discusses the team's needs in the winter transfer market.

Girona FC coach, Míchel Sánchez, addressed the media in Girona ahead of tomorrow's derby at the RCDE Stadium against Espanyol, emphasizing the importance of the clash and the squad's condition.

The Madrid-born coach started the press conference by apologizing on behalf of the club for his initial statements regarding the expulsion of Lass, who received a two-match ban. He defended the action as part of the competitive struggle, although he acknowledged it is a good learning experience for the young player.

Regarding the opponent, Míchel praised the work of Manolo and Espanyol's good form, but insisted that his main concern is his own team's performance, which arrives with confidence after two consecutive victories against Mallorca and Osasuna.
Regarding the winter market, he confirmed that Solís' departure is almost finalized and expressed optimism about Echeverri's arrival. He stressed the need to reinforce the midfield with one or two players, due to long-term absences like Portu, Van de Beek, and Ounahi, in addition to Lass' suspension.
