The Generalitat and the College of Property Administrators of Girona (CAFGi) have launched a pilot program in about twenty public housing buildings in the Girona regions to improve the management of neighborhood communities.

This initiative, stemming from an agreement signed between both entities, will primarily focus on blocks located in the neighborhoods of Font de la Pólvora in Girona and western Figueres. The main goal is for a professional property administrator to assist in establishing the communities and ensure the proper maintenance of common areas.

"It will be ensured that the elevator works and there is light in the stairwell, preventing possible electrical fraud or illegal occupations."

the Minister of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition
The Minister of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition has emphasized the importance of guaranteeing basic services such as elevator functionality and stairwell lighting, as well as preventing irregularities. The intention is that, if the pilot proves successful, the model will be expanded throughout Catalonia.
