The Riudellots de la Selva Town Council has unanimously approved a motion to demand a review of the new public transport zoning in the Girona area, effective since March.

The new system places the town in Zone 2, forcing commuters to pay for two zones instead of one. This has led to significant price increases, such as the T-10 ticket rising from 6.40 euros to 12.25 euros.
Local authorities argue that the measure ignores the close links between the town and Girona for work and education, and warn it could discourage the use of public transport in favor of private vehicles.
