On May 31st, the towns of Salt and Girona will host the first anti-racist race, an initiative aimed at raising funds and highlighting the fight against racism.

The main goal of the sporting event is to obtain financial resources to cover 5,000 euros in fines accumulated by several members of a local housing collective, resulting from their participation in actions to stop evictions. In addition to the fundraising aspect, the organizers want to focus on denouncing the structural racism they believe still exists today.
The race is scheduled to start at 10:00 AM from the Factoria Cultural de la Coma Cros in Salt. The circular route will pass through both cities, including iconic spots such as plaça Marquès de Camps and the pont del Dimoni in Girona, before returning to the starting point. After the race, there will be musical performances and catering services.
According to the organizers, over 200 participants have already registered, and the event is supported by 80 organizations. The registration fee is 10 euros, with a reduced rate of 5 euros for vulnerable groups, and a donation channel has been set up for those unable to attend.
