Spar Girona concluded their EuroLeague home campaign this Thursday with a hard-fought 58-65 defeat against Fenerbahçe, the tournament's main title contenders.

In front of 3,000 fans at Fontajau, the team coached by Roberto Íñiguez displayed immense character. Despite being without Bibby and captain Canella, Girona kept the score level at 32-32 by halftime, driven by a stellar performance from Coulibaly, who finished with 19 points.
The Turkish side eventually secured the win in the final quarter thanks to Rupert's 21 points. Spar Girona now looks forward to the quarter-finals in Zaragoza on April 17, marking their third appearance in the final stages of Europe's top competition.

"I am very proud of the players, considering the minutes Fenerbahçe played and our situation, we did a very good job."
