The Spar Girona team secured a historic qualification for the EuroLeague Women Final Six, scheduled to take place in Zaragoza from April 15 to 19, after defeating Flammes Carolo at Fontajau.

The squad led by coach Roberto Íñiguez sealed their ticket to be among the continent's top six teams thanks to their convincing 89-58 victory against the French side Flammes Carolo Basket, combined with Schio's defeat in Prague. This achievement raises the ceiling of Catalan basketball, returning to the highest European level.
The performance at Fontajau was dominant from the start, with partial scores of 28-11 and 50-27 at halftime. The top scorers were Bibby with 21 points and Coulibaly with 20, who was crucial in the opening minutes. The team recorded a total valuation of 127, highlighting the 30 assists distributed.

"We are a more compact team with her."

This marks the third time that Uni has placed among the best in Europe, having previously achieved this in 2021 and 2022, when the final phase involved eight teams. The success was celebrated with the 2,902 spectators present at Fontajau, whom Íñiguez addressed directly from the court.
